Cookbook Generation Riesling – Game Burger

I’m continuing my culinary journey with the cookbook of the “Generation Riesling” in one of the famous German wine-growing regions, the Moselle. There, the winery “Wein+Gut Oster” is located. I tried the burger with venison patty. Family judgment: Burger in a class of its own!

Deer Lasagna

It does not always have to be a leg or saddle of venison: lasagna with roe is a special, classy pasta dish. Deer meat is layered and baked with vegetables, good spices, a fine Riesling sauce, pasta and Taleggio cheese.

Our crash course Palatinate continues! At the invitation of the Palatinate wine marketing association Pfalzwein e. V. we spend one day on the Palatinate Wine Routes: Six wine shops, 13 winemakers and an “Autumn Fireplace Talk” in the evening – the Palatinate from south to north, from Landau to Zellertal in 24 hours!

We had planned a hiking week in the Palatinate vineyards for long. Unfortunately, in 2018 we could not realize it. At the invitation of the Palatinate wine marketing association Pfalzwein e. V., we had the chance to experience a Crash Course Palatinate at the beginning of November: Six wine shops, 13 winegrowers and an “Autumn Fireplace Talk” in the evening – the Palatinate from South to North in just one day!

Women’s power and the color lilac

I would describe myself as a wine lover, but definitely not as wine connoisseurs. I know if I like the taste of a wine or not. And, Yes, I confess that the label of a bottle for me is not quite irrelevant. Therefore, maybe my favorite color lilac was somewhat of a guide when I placed my first wine order in Nierstein [also known as Riesling city at the banks of river Rhine]. Because Lisa likes lilac. Now, the shooting star of the young German wine makers has promised to give her personal wine recommendations for selected Captain’s Dinner menus. And this is the way it happened.
