Headache? Not on New Year
January 1st, 2019 | Uncategorized
A wonderful New Year to all of you! May 2019 bring happiness, health and joy to you! Sometimes and unfortunately, New Year begins with a little (or more) headache due to the extended New Year’s celebrations. For those who want to combat it in a natural way, I have a great tip for you!
“Lemon and coffee” is the magic formula! A pharmacist gave me this tip when I had such a severe headache during pregnancy with our son that I sent the expectant father to the pharmacy. He came back without “saving” medication, made me a double espresso, squeezed half a lemon in and served me this medicine.
Granted, it is not delicious. But – it works.
The caffeine narrows dilated blood vessels in the brain and the vitamin C of the lemon contributes to the formation of a body’s own messenger, which dampens the headache.
And all without chemistry. Just try it!
All the best for a headache-free 2019!

Sparkling wine and an exquisite flying buffet go together, that’s obvious. But classical music and electronic sounds? The Geldermann private sparkling wine cellar shows with its extraordinary art project, the Édition Musique, that this is very possible. “Sparkling Keys” is a tribute to a special cuvée, composed and arranged by two internationally acclaimed artists, pianist Joseph Moog and sound designer Kris Menace. Excellent finger food by Cornelia Poletto uniquely rounds off the evening in the Hamburg Jazz Hall.
