Bifteki oder griechische Hacksteaks mit gegrillter Wassermelone

Bifteki with grilled watermelon

July 29th, 2018 | main dishes

Bifteki thats the Greek name for minced steaks. A short trip to Greece, that’s it. Currently, we do not have to complain in northern Germany about lack of sunshine. This summer, even the holiday on our balcony is fun. And with Bifteki from the grill, we get the ultimate culinary holiday feeling.

Classic style eggplant dip, aubergine with mozzarella and, of course, leaf salad with peach are just as popular with the minced steaks. The Greek meat rolls make a good figure in any combination! So, let’s go to the Greek evening on the terrace. Sure, that an iced ouzo must not be missed!

Risotto with saffron, almonds and crispy chorizo November 4th, 2018 | side dishes

Saffron – it’ gold among the spices

We are fortunate that our captain brings, for example, saffron and vanilla directly from the markets in the Caribbean or the “spice souk” in Dubai . This is admittedly the reason why we sometimes use exquisite and expensive spices in a quite lavish way. Anyway, our saffron almond risotto with chorizo certainly succeeds with less than two cans of saffron.

Breton galettes with goat merguez and pepper cream

Fine food from France! In Brittany, the thin pancakes made from nutty buckwheat flour are often served with savory fillings, such as a spicy Merguez sausage. Raisins, mint and parsley together with the creamy-fruity pepper sauce balance the spiciness of the merguez. Vive la France!
